How to Reclaim Love?
Ask yourself "Do I want to do something to make this world a more loving place?"
- If the answer is "No", how on Earth did you end up on this site? But, Welcome. Stick around, you might just like it.
- If the answer is “Yes”, Reclaim Love thanks you and welcomes you to copy the following model, adjusting it to suit your needs.
Check the date of this year’s event. This year, 2012, it’s Saturday February 18th.
Are you free to join us on this day?
Is there an event near you?
Check the interactive map for info on where events are happening.
If there is an event, join the group and see if you can help with ideas/preparations and general input.
Invite your friends. The more the merrier.
If there is no event happening but you would like there to be one in your area then it’s so easy to put one on.
Think of a place in your community where you would like to hold the event. This could be your school, your hospital, workplace, forest, beach, village, city or even the ocean as some surfers did one year in Australia.
Talk to your friends about it. Go out on your bicycles or take a walk around and see which place you think would be most suited.
Once you decide where it will read over the steps below and then enter the details here:
- Set up a local facebook event page, eg. “Reclaim Love Oxford”, and invite all your friends.
- Add your event to the map (if you have difficulty with this please contact us to help you at reclaimloveinfo(at)gmail.com “FOA Venus, re: event”).
- Put up posters and invite your community. This event is a non-exclusive, fully inclusive event. It’s really important that everyone feels welcome here.
- Make a flyer and hand it out.
- Do whatever you like to let people know about the event.
- Encourage people who are coming to dress up brightly and to make sandwiches or cakes to share, to bring face paints and musical instruments, bubbles, chalk or whatever you think of to brighten up your day (maybe bring a folding chair for an elderly person who may want to sit).
- Meet at least an hour before the time that the circle will be held. This will give time for people to assemble. During this time you could hand out flyers to encourage people passing by to stay and enjoy the day with you or start chalking lovely messages on the ground.
- You may choose to play music or have live musicians. This helps to gather a crowd.
- At 3.25pm, which is 5 minutes before the circle, announce that the circle is forming and tell people what you will be doing.
- At 3.30pm be in the circle. Let everyone know that they are being joined by many other people across the world at this time to meditate on world peace as we repeat the words together. Let people know that we are meditating together in order to help effect a loving shift in consciousness for the good of All beings.
- Have a run through of the words and ask people to imagine what this world would look like if these words came true. Ask that the people close their eyes and imagine that their visions are like Seeds of Love and ask them to plant each vision deeply and carefully into the Earth as they say:
May All The Beings In All The Worlds Be Happy and At Peace. - Now close your eyes and for about 10 minutes hold each others hands and repeat. Tune in to all of us joining you and to all of those across the world who are planting seeds for a brighter world for All.
Enjoy.
If possible give everyone in the circle a seed to plant in a pot to remind them of the Love that they are nurturing throughout the year. They can meditate on love with this plant. A visit to a forest may find acorns to hand out!!
After all, scientists prove that the more you focus on something the more it comes into manifestation.
Peace on Earth is Possible.
