Picadilly Circus, London, 12 February 2005

This message goes out to all those who joined us on the streets to hold hands to send love to all the beings in the world; to those who joined us in spirit from all the different parts of the world in your prayers and

meditations, your consciousness tuning in to our gathering; and to all the beings in all the worlds who just before 3pm GMT (linear time) felt the healing and love being sent to you from this celebration and healing of our Oneness here in London, England.

Thank you so much for making Reclaim Love February 2005 a truly wonderful, fun and memorable day.

At around 2pm a crowd of people began to gather around the the Eros statue in Picadilly Circus in the heart of London.

We set up a free stall to make Valentine's cards - and handed out free colourful heart-and-crossbones flags and t-shirts (big thanks to the crew at 5th Column Tshirts). A teddy-bears' amnesty was held to donate to needy children. Thank you. Check back soon to see where the teddies went.

As around 2:30 the Samba band Rhythms of Resistance arrived dressed in pink and silver and had everyone dancing to their lovin' big beats. With each moment the energy was increasing.

Cards were handed out to everyone explaining the reason for the gathering:

The announcement of the event is here.

There's a scan of another leaflet explaining the day here.

People of all colours and creeds and ages danced together. After 20 minutes of big energy from the Samba and the crowd, Venus called on everyone to make a circle around the statue of Eros to send love and healing out to all those suffering from the effects of war, the tsunami and poverty.

The response was phenomenal. The statue and steps of Eros were cleared as people walked out to take their position in the 300-person circle.

"I was so amazed," said Venus: "last year people left the statue steps and legged it at the at the suggestion of physical contact with a so-called 'stranger'. When I saw everyone leave the steps I have to admit I thought it was a repeat of that - but when I looked again and saw that they were were leaving to take up position in the circle I jumped for joy. It was one of the happiest moments of my life.

"I believe it shows the huge shift in consciousness we on the planet have gone through in a year and how we so must continue to recognise and celebrate the oneness of the human race, now more than ever. People want so much to be part of the solution to peace - when the politicians they look to for leadership are failing them.

"If peace on earth was declared today, we would very quickly realise that maintaing that state on the planet would not just be up to the likes of Bush and Blair. It would be obvious that each and every one of us has a responsibility to ensure that peace is maintained.

"Peace is the byproduct of love: we should take back the power, Reclaim Love and play our part in life's peace process. It we all act as though peace on earth has been declared and we are determined to keep it that way we can only achive lasting peace, love and good vibes."

The circle continued for about five minutes linear time, with the infinite love of all those present being channelled out to the world. Venus invited everyone to come and party; then as if by magic and in divine timing the soap box bicycle sound system arrived blasting out Bob Marley's One love. Everyone regrouped, danced, hugged, celebrated and laughed together. Onlookers joined in and boogied on down until almost 5pm.
